The Friends of the Museum meet on an informal basis at regular intervals to share ideas and discuss fundraising events and ways of promoting the Museum. The Friends attend village fetes throughout the district, organise social events, bingo, skittles and quiz evenings. One major event organised by the Friends is the highly successful Museum Christmas Fair. The festival atmosphere is enjoyed by visitors and stall holders alike. Funds raised by the Friends are often used to acquire new artifacts for the Society's Collection. If you would like to join a small but friendly group please contact the Museum on 01761 437722.
